Cushman & Wakefield announced today that industry veteran Michael Joyce has joined the firm’s Downtown Boston Leasing Team as Vice Chairman.
With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Joyce has been responsible for advising a number of local, national and international firms, specializing in the leasing of office space for many of Boston’s most prestigious landlords, investors and tenants. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, he was Partner at Transwestern RBJ, a founding partner at Richards Barry Joyce & Partners, and a partner at CB Richard Ellis.
“Over the course of his career, Mike Joyce has advised and represented many iconic organizations that symbolize and define Boston, including The Boston Celtics, Boston Consulting Group, Wilmer Hale, and Brookfield Properties at 75 State Street, among numerous others. Mike has been a highly-respected industry leader for years and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Cushman & Wakefield,” said Carolyn Sidor, Managing Principal & New England Market Leader. “His arrival represents the most significant office leasing broker move in the last decade in Boston, excluding a merger or acquisition.”
“Cushman & Wakefield has the most compelling growth story in the industry,” said Joyce. “And the opportunities afforded by that growth for clients are second to none. I am excited about the opportunities to collaborate with colleagues locally—most whom I’ve known and respected for years—and work with the company’s great talent around the country. I couldn’t be happier about Cushman & Wakefield’s trajectory and what that means for our clients.”
Joyce is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and received his bachelor’s degree from Providence College. In addition to his work in commercial real estate, he is member of the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, a trustee of Providence College, Former President and board member of Boston Presidents Council and member of Varsity Athletic Board at Providence College.
