Cushman & Wakefield represented Primark, Millennium Partners and The Gutierrez Company in two of 2015’s biggest CRE deals in Greater Boston
Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader in commercial real estate services with extensive experience in the New England commercial real estate market, today announced the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA), a division of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, has awarded Cushman & Wakefield with the Retail Deal of the Year Award for representing Primark and Millennium Partners in the leasing of the iconic Burnham Building located in Downtown Crossing. Primark leased 220,000-square-feet, making it the most high-profile retail deal of the year. Cushman & Wakefield also received the Suburban Deal of the Year Award for representing The Gutierrez Company in the 287,000-square-foot EMD Millipore lease at Burlington Summit in Burlington, MA.
The opening of Primark in Downtown Crossing’s Burnham Building was one of the biggest retail transactions of the year, and Cushman & Wakefield found a home for Primark’s first U.S. location. Millennium Partners, the owner of the iconic 100-year-old Burnham Building, spent $120 million restoring and renovating the 220,000-square-foot space.
Cushman & Wakefield also represented The Gutierrez Company in its lease of 400 Wheeler Road in Burlington to EMD Millipore. The Gutierrez Company purchased the building site from the state Department of Transportation and redesigned the facility to accommodate both offices and life-science functions.
“I want to congratulate the Cushman & Wakefield team on their wins and their recognition,” said Joe Fallon, New England Market Leader at Cushman & Wakefield. “As these awards show, we work with our clients to understand their needs and deliver results.”
