Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate services firm, has promoted Mary Kay Smith to Managing Director of the firm’s New England Project & Development Services (PDS) group.

In her new role, Smith will lead the PDS team in the New England region, which includes Boston, Hartford, CT and Manchester, NH. Prior to this role, she was vice president of project management.

Smith has personally managed more than four million square feet of tenant improvements and held several leadership positions with the firm.

“To fill this leadership role, we took an expansive look at industry talent and came to the conclusion that the best candidate  was already at Cushman & Wakefield,” said Carolyn Sidor, Managing Principal of Cushman & Wakefield’s New England offices. “We’re proud to recognize Mary Kay’s vast skill set and are thrilled to have her knowledge and expertise guiding the Project & Development Services Team. This unit is dedicated to its clients, the integrity of the work, and partnership with other C&W colleagues.”

“Cushman & Wakefield’s entrepreneurial spirit and diverse, collaborative, and inclusive culture resonate with our clients and throughout our company,” said Smith. “I am excited for the opportunities this new role presents and  proud to represent the firm at this level.”

Smith received bachelor’s degrees in both civil engineering and architectural design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
